The brushed motor needs to replace the carbon brushes regularly, but the inertia is very small when driving; the brushless motor does not need maintenance, but it has a very slight inertia when the speed is fast. The quality of the motor depends on the material of the magnetic cylinder and the material of the coil, so the price difference exists.

When purchasing an electric wheelchair, you can compare and observe the workmanship, power, noise and other factors of the motor. The gear box is matched with the motor, and the quality of the gear box depends on the metal material and sealing performance. Since the gears in the gearbox engage with each other and rub against each other, lubricating oil is needed, so the tightness of the oil seal and the sealing ring is very important.

In order to reduce costs, many electric wheelchairs on the market remove the electromagnetic brake function, and at the same time, the configuration of necessary components such as motor gearboxes is correspondingly reduced. Such an electric wheelchair can also drive on a flat road, but there will be a slippery slope when driving on an uphill or downhill section.

It is actually very simple to judge whether an electric wheelchair has automatic braking function. When purchasing, turn off the power of the electric wheelchair and push it forward. If it can be pushed slowly, it means that the electric wheelchair does not have electromagnetic brake, and vice versa.

◆Electric wheelchair frame: The difference of the frame lies in the rationality of material and structural design. Frame materials are mainly divided into iron sheet, steel pipe, aluminum alloy and aerospace aluminum alloy (7 series aluminum alloy); the frame made of aluminum alloy and aerospace aluminum alloy is light in weight and good in compactness. Unlike equipment, the cost price is higher. The reasonable form of electric wheelchair frame structure design is the most easily overlooked by consumers.
